Mon-Fri 8.15am-5pm (one early finish at 1pm per week)

 

Health & Safety Advisor

The Role

You will be proactively driving benchmark performance for health and safety across the manufacturing and office facilities. You will be the point of contact for all things health and safety, spending the majority of your time on the shop floor. You will champion a culture of health and safety, ensuring all are trained and accountable, being able to identify risks and improve processes.

Main Responsibilities

·      Manage the Health and Safety inhouse System, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and driving best practices across the site.

·      Conduct audits and inspections to maintain high safety standards and identify areas for improvement.

·      Collaborate with departments to ensure all processes, equipment, and changes meet health and safety requirements.

·      Lead investigations into accidents with a focus on root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.

·      Share and benchmark safety best practices within the wider group.

·      Take charge of emergency response teams and procedures, ensuring readiness for any situation.

·      Deliver engaging and regular health and safety training programmes, tailored to the needs of the team.

·      Update the Safety Statement and carry out Risk Assessments, while supporting others in conducting their own assessments.

 

Health & Safety Advisor

The Candidate

 

 

·      Experience in a Health and Safety role, ideally in a high-risk engineering or manufacturing environment

·      Experience implementing Health and Safety initiatives

·      Working knowledge of ISO 45001 Health & Safety Management System

·      Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices

·      Excellent communication skills with ability to influence others and work as part of a team

·      Ability to work independently and part of a team

·      NEBOSH – Desirable

·      Lead auditor certification ISO 45001 desirable
