We’re supporting a well-established manufacturing business in Portsmouth who are looking to bring in a Data Analyst to work closely with their Quality and Operations teams.

What’s the role all about?

  • Use SQL and Python to extract, clean and manipulate data from multiple sources
  • Identify data gaps, inconsistencies and inefficiencies, and build solutions to improve data quality
  • Develop and maintain automated dashboards and reporting tools
  • Support the Quality team with insights into:
  • Non-conformances
  • Scrap and rework
  • Process performance
  • Cost of quality
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders
  • Work closely with Quality, Engineering, Operations and IT teams
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives through data-driven decision making

  • Ability to work with large datasets and multiple data sources
  • Experience building dashboards and reporting tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau or similar)

  • Knowledge of ISO9001 / AS9100 environments
  • Exposure to Lean / Six Sigma / continuous improvement methodologies
  • Experience integrating data across ERP / QMS systems

About you

You’re naturally curious and enjoy solving problems through data. You’re not just reporting numbers — you’re identifying what’s missing, what’s wrong and how to improve it.

You’ll be:

  • Analytical and detail-driven
  • Comfortable working independently and cross-functionally
  • A strong communicator who can explain data clearly
  • Proactive in identifying improvements and solutions
  • Confident working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
