We’re supporting a specialist manufacturing business in Fareham who are looking to recruit an NGS (Nitrogen Generation System) Operative to join their team.

What’s the role all about?

As an NGS Operative, you’ll be responsible for assembling and supporting the production of Nitrogen Generation Systems, ensuring products are built to specification, quality standards and delivery requirements.

This is a practical, hands-on role working within a structured manufacturing environment.

Shift pattern and salary

  • Late Shift: Monday – Thursday, 2:00pm – 12:00am
  • No Fridays – 3-day weekends every week
  • Salary: £28,500 per annum
  • Shift uplift: +25%

Key responsibilities

  • Assemble Nitrogen Generation Systems and associated components
  • Follow engineering drawings, work instructions and build procedures
  • Ensure all products meet required quality and safety standards
  • Carry out basic inspection and checks during assembly
  • Maintain accurate production records
  • Support continuous improvement and efficiency within the team
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment
  • Work collaboratively with production, quality and engineering teams

What you’ll need

To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:

  • Experience in a manufacturing, assembly or engineering environment
  • Ability to follow technical instructions and drawings
  • Good attention to detail and quality awareness
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • A reliable and proactive approach to work

Salary and benefits

  • £28,500 base salary + 25% shift uplift
  • 4-day working week (Monday–Thursday)
